Grass & Clovers

As a child in the seventies, Sara Sandler-Greisberg , was surrounded with unique fabrics that her mother used to design patchwork quilts and clothing.

By digging into many big baskets of multi colored swatches (that are used in Grass & Clovers!) and pulling out fabric combinations, Sara would make clothing for her dolls. This engendered a “fashion bug” in her at a very early age.

"...folksy
charm..."

Later, while studying mixed media painting and photography, she began finding new life for found objects, old paint rags and matchbooks, magazine scraps and recycled papers in her work. Today, she still celebrates the beauty of reusing old objects in a new, artistic & personal way.
After 10 years in women’s fashion, Sara gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Ava. During that time she had difficulty finding clothes for Ava that not only met her aesthetic taste, but also were also environmentally responsible. This led Sara back to her crafty roots.

Infusion...

By combining her love of fashion with the nostalgia and inspiration of her own childhood, Grass & Clovers was born. Infused with folksy charm, all designs are sewn with handmade individually constructed appliqués of vintage and recycled fabrics and are cut and sewn in Sara’s design studio in Larchmont, NY.
