When it’s time to sleep, wrap yourself in the warmth and comfort that an upholstered headboard with wood frame brings to the room. Taken from nature, wood evokes a natural environment; there are a number of different header styles to choose from, depending on whether you want a casual aesthetic or a more formal one. Many of the wooden items around the house can become a headboard. When you turn the old door you sit in the garage on your side and install it on the side wall, a queen or king sized bed receives a headboard.
Or, a set of wooden cabinet doors becomes an upholstered headboard with wood frame if they are placed upright against the wall. Another option includes joining the top of an “L” shaped wooden desk, no longer used, or a wooden table on the wall. An existing wood head can be transformed into a new one with a couple of modifications.
For example, by reducing the hump of a rounded header you can get a header with a straight line, or if you prefer a curve in a straight header, then draw and trim the curve. You can also cut an oblong circle in the center of the upholstered headboard with wood frame and place a mirror panel, stained glass design or leave it open.
