Use gloves to avoid adverse skin reactions. Rinse the plates with warm water and a sponge.
Spray mold and mildew areas with bleach. Mix bleach and warm water equally in a spray bottle. Be careful when working with lye because it emits toxic gas. Shed and mold areas with a brush or sponge. Use a circle movement. Rinse wall plates with hot water. Clean the tile wall panels grouting with vinegar solution. Mix 1/4 cup of vinegar, 1/3 cup of ammonia, 1/2 cup of baking soda and 7 cups of water. Spray the solution on tile grouting. Rinse the plates with lukewarm water.
