Install the pressure-treated terrace posts with 1/2-inch carriage bolts following the manufacturer’s specifications for the spacing and type of trex railing kit. The maximum spacing charge for a 6-foot Craft railing kit is 72 inches in the center or, for an 8-foot Craft railing kit, 96 inches in the center. The height of the pole recommended for both kits is 39 inches above the surface of the terrace.

Installing trex railing, remove the inner screw tabs of a rear apron for each post covered with pliers, and then slide a skirt over the top of each post with the flared side down. Lower each one to rest flat on the surface of the terrace. Slide a pole cover over each post, until the base is flat on the surface of the deck and is inside the rear skirt.
