Shower wall panels are a solution to damp wall syndrome, where moisture separates through tile and rotates plywood underneath. They will prefabricate and install with the least amount of effort. Plan ahead and be sure to install them properly, greatly increasing the efficiency of shower walls. Use only the best materials and do the job right so you only do it once.
Pre-install trace or channel for your shower door, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. A vertical line up the wall from the point where the canal intersects the wall with a pen and straight ruler. This indicates the beginning of your shower wall. If you do not install a door, skip this step. Measure the position of the tap and handle for a shower, using a tape measure. Select these distances on the shower wall panels to determine the position of the crane handles. Drill holes to match the position of the crane handle, using a hole saw. Measure twice before making the cut.
Loosen the fastening screws on the handles with a screwdriver to remove the faucet fixture. Run heavy glue about 1/2 inches wide above the part of the wall where the shower panel will be installed. Touch the shower wall panels over the glue with the holes mounted over the crane and handles area, and pull the panel off the wall. Put the panel in place once and press the wall firmly. This permanently secures the panel.
