Patch panel wall mount were common for housing in the latter half of the 20th century. Many people still have rooms with fully paneled walls in their basement or game room. Sometimes these walls are only lined so if you remove the panels you face plaster, which must be resurfaced. This can be scary and expensive. An alternative is to cover panel with fabric.
Wash panels with soap and water to remove all grease, odors and dirt. Wipe patch panel wall mount with a towel. Place a cloth over the floor surface and open the windows. Cut the city edge off the fabric with a scissors. Measure the height of the wall and add 8-inches. Cut the fabric to this length. Roll the fabric face side in on a fabric cardboard tube. Most fabric stores will give you or sell you a tube very cheap.
Spray patch panel wall mount using strong spray glue. Also make a spray with spray so that the glue is still. Spray just wide enough for the fabric to completely cover the sprayed area. Take the roll to the top of the wall allowing 4-inches extra at the top. Aim the roller so that it is straight and so that the fabric will roll in a vertical line down the wall. Press the fabric in the glue. Slowly roll the fabric using a wallpaper brush and flap to smooth the fabric as you roll down the wall. Touch the fabric so that it is firmly attached to the wall along the edges and seams.
